Career Development
Giving exposure to careers in building performance and renewable energy
Connecting students to workforce development, colleges, internships and employment
Opening Career Pathways
As our economy shifts to meet the needs of a changing world, the green collar fields are maturing. In 2022 over 3.2 million people were employed in the area of clean energy*. Opportunities for employment are growing in the areas of energy and sustainability, and our in-house staff has been at the forefront of developing programming to meet this need.
Certification courses to meet requirements of the Building Performance Institute and Urban Green Council along with other courses to support the career goals of young adults have been developed. Agencies including the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), 32BJ SEIU, the HOPE Program, Sustainable South Bronx, and Hudson Valley Community College’s Center for Energy Efficiency and Building Science (CEEBS) have benefitted from these services.
